Christmas 2020

Hey, framily!
I wanted to take a few minutes to showcase a little of the decorating and crafting that I did for Christmas 2020.  Did I have a ton of trees?  Yep.  Did I work hard to put it all out?  Yep.  Did I love every minute?  YEP.  One of the big things I learned in 2020 was that I choose whether or not I live a life of JOY.  So, early in November, I decided to transform my home into a winter wonderland.  We had the best time decorating and I love how it came out.  We are on an extremely limited budget, so this HUGE project was very budget friendly.  I keep my decorations stored in totes and throw out what is damaged each year.  I have been collecting decorations for my trees since 1994.  Let's go!
"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. " - James 1:2-3 (KJV)

Our super cute home is such a gift from the Lord.  We've lived here 10 years and Noelle and I just love it!  We recently painted the entry doors a gorgeous soft turquoise from Home Depot.  I used a very high end paint and they came out so beautifully, I nearly cried.  Know what I mean?  I don't look at the door as a challenge for my outside décor either.  It just is what it is.
I used very inexpensive swags on the windows and doors that I bought for $5 each 3 or 4 years ago and added pretty ribbons to give the house quite a lovely feel.  The ribbon is red and white stripe, grey snowflake and black check.  I also wrapped garland and ribbon around the front door to add more lights and sparkle to our home.  Finally, I threw some random stuff on the side patio.  I'll work on crafts for that area throughout 2021 so I'm ready to do something cool next Christmas.  This is my first year to do that side patio and it's more challenging than I thought it would be.  Next year, it shall be SPECTACULAR.  It's always good to have goals, right?

Can you tell that I LOVE CHRISTMAS?  ^ This is the view from my kitchen through to the living room.  I'm going to just post some random images below so you have a little idea of what we did in our home.  It's a lot to blog about!  We didn't take pictures of everything, but we had 31 trees up in and around our home.  Now that I'm doing this blog, and I love it, I will be more diligent to take photos and share.

SUPPLIES - I purchased a lot of things from Dollar Tree and Dollar General.  I was very excited about the quality of what Dollar General produced this year.  Their ribbons were excellent quality and they had a very nice variety.  Seriously, if you can, grab the clearance items RIGHT NOW so you can stash them away for next year.  Create a bin that says "NEW FOR 2021".  I was extra happy to score a set of lighted deer for the side patio for HALF PRICE!  I also purchased loads of extra lights.  We had over 6,000 lights inside our home this year. *LIGHT LOVER WARNING*
Here are a couple of videos of walk throughs of our home that I downloaded from Facebook.  Enjoy this walk through!

thank you so much for being here.

Thanks for reading through.  I want to leave you with one last scripture as a reminder to choose JOY.

"Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." - Psalm 30:4-5 (KJV)

I love you!
